As documents flow through the workflow’s setup in the Integration hub, transaction records and logs get generated. The transactions record activity happening in the source connectors, publishers as well as the collections, validation processes and highlight connector error where applicable. View and retry processes on this page, using the various search and filter functions to help navigate your way through the available transaction data.
Use these to help navigate the transaction entries below:
Filter more recent transaction entries generated from the date selected.
Filter older transaction entries generated up to the date selected.
This drop-down menu contains all the Data In, Data Transform and Data out entries found in the Integration Hub for the selected Organisation. If you select a source the page will get filtered to show only the select source as well as any downstream transactions linked to it. It will not show and source transactions upstream.
Filter transactions by status, there are 4 possible statuses found in the system and in this dropdown. Successful – successfully processed documents, they would have gotten a successful 200 response.
Error – Connector Processes which have failed and not received a successful 200 status will be shown here. Click on “messages” on the right to see the details of the error.
Search transaction entries for data matches. This function only works with complete matches and does not find any partial searches. The fields this function will search for are: Header information: this includes document ID’s, GUID’s, document hash, created dates Identifier Keys: any fields selected as Identifiers are saved as Key fields, you will be able to search for data within these. Body Keys: Utopia has an algorithm which extracts potential important information from the body of the document. This might include dates, numbers, ID’s, titles. This is not conclusive but does allow for more details searches if required.
Date/Time – shows the date and time of the creation of the document.
Identifier Column – this column will display any key Identifier values found in the document. Source – This will display the name of the Collection, Source connector or Publisher connector (Data Out) of the process as per the Integration Hub. - refresh the transaction grid or any documents downstream from the selected refresh icon.
Linked downstream processes are shown by a grey circle on the right, with the number of documents or processes attached shown as a number within it. In this example, you can see the first process has 5 documents attached to it, with each of these showing 1 downstream process and doc attached to it. A second downstream process has also happened, but no further processes after that.
Clicking Retry will tell Utopia to pick up the upstream document and process through the Data Transform again.
Clicking Retry will tell Utopia to pick up the upstream document and process through the Data Out process again.
Invalid – This transaction entry will be generated if any document fails any of the parameter’s setup in the connector, this could be an “ignore duplicate” setting, or no “Identifier field” key available etc. This could also be generated by any Validator stages setup for the collections. To view the details of the invalid message, simply click on the invalid icon.
Retrying – This transaction is a temporary transaction setup to identify and processes which the user has manually triggered to run again (retry). You can only retry Data Transform and Data Out processes, not Data In processes.
This icon represents that a menu exists for that document or process, click to view what is available.
View: for Data In transactions, you can only view the resultant document that was captured in the data in collection. You cannot retry anything here. To retry a data-in process, you will need to either manually trigger a webhook or adjust the poling settings via the Integration Hub. The view function will bring up the document and its data in the “FRIENDLY” view. Toggle between the tabs to view the document in different formats (JSON, JSON-SCHEMA, XML). If you would like to download that document in its respective format, hit the download button to download it onto your machine. You can also search for data within the document using the search bar in the top right.

If you would like to download that document in its respective format, hit the download button to download it onto your machine. View: view the upstream document that was used in the Data Out Process.
By default Utopia will also start by filtering you into your “Personal” organisation. You can navigate to all your saved organisations by changing the Organisation Filter. If you click on the Transactions Organisation Filter (Any of the text in from the screenshot below) It will bring up a list of the Organisations, that you are associated with. You can now change this filter by clicking on the organisation you would like to view. A new Organisation can be created from here.
